ABOUT US
In 2013, the Union County Comprehensive Plan recommended that a county-wide trail corridor plan be prepared. This lead to a collaboration of local governments, regional planning organizations, private interest groups, businesses and the public coming together to complete the first-ever Union County Trail and Greenway Master Plan in 2014.
The Union County Parks & Trails Working Group (Let's Roll, Union County!) was established in 2018 to advance a bold vision for future trail development and greenway preservation across Union County. By partnering with local and regional stakeholders, we work to implement the 2014 Union County Trail & Greenway Master Plan and guide efforts to develop a linked network of trails, greenways, and recreational amenities.
OUR GOAL: "To convene all organizations and jurisdictions that could influence or benefit from the development of trails, greenways, and parks in Union County."
Did you know...
Numerous studies have shown that bike trails increase the value of nearby properties. A study of Indianapolis’s Cultural Trail, for example, found that property values within one block of the trail rose 148% between 2008 and 2014!
